A Look Inside the Suites of Edenshaw’s Alba in Mississauga | UrbanToronto
The intersection of Hurontario Street and Fairview Road East in downtown Mississauga is soon to welcome a new condo with Edenshaw Developments’ Alba. The Core Architects-designed project will stand 32-storeys tall, and be home to 418 suites. Our last story introduced the development’s 20,000ft² of amenities and its interiors designed by Cecconi Simone. Now, we take a look at what is planned for the inside of the suites of the future condo.

Due to the curving facade of the tower, suites themselves have a rounded or angled outer walls open to panoramic views. With the bulk of Mississauga City Centre development planned and under construction to the north and the west, Alba’s south and east-facing suites such as the one pictured above, will have views of Lake Ontario and the Downtown Toronto skyline that will be unobstructed for years to come. Not only will there be lake and city views, but the sunrise views are expected to be so spectacular that they inspired the project’s name, “Alba,” which is Italian for sunrise.

The units are open concept, designed to minimize corridors and maximize flow. Their abundance of floor to ceiling windows making the spaces feel open and bright. Finishes that residents of Alba can expect include smooth ceilings, laminate flooring and countertops, and contemporary kitchen cabinetry. Stainless steel appliances will also be part of the kitchen ensemble, while a stacked washer and dryer will be fitted in-unit. All windows will have roller-shade coverings.

The units in the development range from 420 to 850ft² in area, in addition to multi-level town homes at Alba’s base–of which there are four. Clean lines and simple, contemporary design are consistent throughout all units, and offer a bounty of opportunity for residents to make their new home fit their personal style.
Each room will embody both minimalism and functionality—an example being the washrooms, which will feature custom-designed storage towers, and generously oversized vanities.
