Cleaning the Slate | UrbanToronto
In their UrbanToronto Forum post, contributing photographer flonicky apologizes for the poor quality of this cameraphone image. Fair enough, as a night image it’s a bit blurry… but clear enough in lower resolutions, and the terrifically composed shot still has plenty of drama, with great light, swirling dust clouds, and action written all over it, both recent and impending. Yesterday’s Daily Photo was a shot from last week by flonicky of the same site: the 1960s TCHC buildings that are coming down here near Queen Street East and Coxwell Avenue are to be replaced by new condos and a new affordable rental building in a more urban setting than the park-style development from about 60 years ago, adding both new residents and new retail.
