Construction Progresses on Final Phase of Mattamy’s Soleil Condos | UrbanToronto
At the foothills of the Niagara Escarpment, Mattamy Homes is bringing modern residential living to Milton, Ontario. The two latest buildings at Soleil Condos, located at 480 through 490 Gordon Krantz Avenue, make up the final phase of the community, and like the initial phase will stand six storeys tall. Encircled by mature landscapes and connected to a network of pathways and trails, including the Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area and the Bruce Trail, the condos designed by KNYMH Inc are positioned to offer an immersive community experience.

As construction continues, the latest images from the site provide a glimpse into the final phase’s progress. The aerial view below provides a full look at the Soleil Condos site, with the two buildings in the foreground having begun occupancy between November 2023 and January 2024. The completed buildings feature a mixture of brickwork on the lower levels and contrasting aluminum panelling above. Behind them rise the two buildings of the final phase, their exteriors enveloped in weatherproofing layers as construction continues.

Below, a telescopic yellow boom lift extends towards the uppermost extent of the western building, where crew members are installing the final accent panelling. To the right, a cherry picker facilitates window installation. The building’s exterior is a composition of charcoal-toned brick on the lower three storeys while the upper levels exhibit a lighter palette with grey and off-white panelling that complements the darker base.

Scaffolds stand where exterior finishing work continues. Underneath the outer skin, the installation of blue moisture barrier wrap is taking place on another part of the exterior.

Similarly, work is progressing on the exterior of the eastern building, where more finishing materials are still to be applied, including balcony guards.

In the inner courtyard area, construction materials await installation, while heavy machinery, including a telescopic handler and excavator, are ready for use when needed.

More exterior sealing is proceeding on another corner where lighter brick of the lower storeys and white panels above add dynamic contrast to the darker cladding along other portions of the facade.
As this final phase of Soleil Condos strides toward completion, occupancy is targeted for early Fall 2024.
