New Partnership and Funding Helping to Make Residential Renting Easier | UrbanToronto
The residential rental industry does not have a history or reputation of being particularly innovative. The experiences of the rental process are often frustrating at best from both ends of the spectrum, with property owners and managers struggling with gaining efficiencies, and the difficulties that renters and tenants are often faced with regularly being overlooked and ignored.
But there is a solution that is gaining in usage and popularity among both parties of the rental community–Rhenti is a cloud-based software suite of digital tools to assist landlords with marketing, connecting, and securing renters for their properties. The software digitizes end-to-end marketing and leasing, helping landlords to provide a good experience for renters, while reducing their time and effort to lease.

Rhenti is not a listing site–the software company partners with all of the top listing sites across the internet instead of competing with them. What makes Rhenti’s software different from listing sites, rental screening services, and other leasing software is its ability to gain mass renter awareness for an available unit, and provide both renters and landlords with a streamlined digital leasing experience.
The company recently closed a capital fundraising round, which has increased Rhenti’s range of abilities. It also forged a new partnership with Hazelview Investments, in an effort to expand. With these new additions, Rhenti has increased the size of its team, and its focus on product development and growth across Canada. The company will continue to serve small-scale landlords and property owners, but will now also begin to build features and product enhancements to power leasing operations at scale.

The new partnership gives the company an opportunity to push the ‘Rhenti experience’ to countless renters and operators across Canada. Both the new funding and partnership bring the company one step closer to its goal of making Rhenti the default leasing software across the country.
In 2021, Rhenti has significantly enhanced key features in its platform to better serve landlords. The first being its integrated chat hub, which is used to streamline conversations between property owners and renters—helping renters book a viewing, and prompting them to fill out an application. Here, property owners are able to see which listing site each renter lead came from, followed by the renter’s contact information.

Comprehensive renter applications are also part of the new features list, and offer property owners, managers, and realtors a comprehensive look at an applicant, including feedback from their references and reference contact information, helping them to choose the best-suited candidate.
